Library

5633The library provides literature available in published form in books or journals either from its own collections or from the collections of other libraries on the territory of the Czech Republic or even from abroad. This is mediated by the services of the National Library or the National Medical Library. At the same time, the library supplies in full text some free articles from different data bases. It also arranges purchases of new publications (books, CD-ROM, etc.) and subscriptions for the next year. All new publications and journals are paid for from the grants, research propositions or sponsorial gifts.

In cooperation with the Institute of Scientific Information of the Faculty, the library keeps continously the record of the publication activity of the Department workers and once a year produces the quotation record of their publications. As the statistical evaluations show, these activities put the Department in the forefront of the health care and teaching facilities of the Faculty.

The library takes care of preparing lecture presentations in PowerPoint, posters in Adobe InDesign, and also cooperates with reviewers.
